CS launches online GPF information system for Nagaland state employees

Chief secretary of Nagaland, Pankaj Kumar launched the online GPF information system for Nagaland state government employees on July 31 at the annexe building hall, office of the principal accountant general (A&E).

According to DIPR report, the chief secretary highlighted on the online payment system that were developed in recent times like electricity billing in some districts, NPSC online application, online scholarship application and others. He said online GPF system would help the state employees to quickly assess their account and for AG employees it would be much easier to efficiently and easily monitor the system in a better way. The office of principal AG (A&E) launched the system in partnership with NIC, Nagaland NIC and Manipur NIC for the registered GPF subscribers of grade C and above employees of the state government. In order to access the online GPF system for GPF status, a subscriber has to select the GPF series name and enter the GPF account number, his/her PIN in the relevant boxes provided. SMS alerts regarding the details of credits and debits can also be availed.DG, NIC New Delhi, Neeta Verma also spoke through video conference. Principal AG (A&E), E. Mhonbemo Patton, IA & AS said the welcome address. Additional SIO, Kemvu gave a powerpoint presentation on the online GPF system. Deputy AG (A&E), Kahoto J.Yepthomi IA & AS chaired the program.

Capacity building on digital payment at Phomching block

A panchayat level capacity building on digital payment under Rural Development (RD) block Phomching, Mon was conducted on Wednesday at the office of BDO, Phomching.

In the programme, resource person, DIO, NIC Mon, Ravi Ranjan Kumar, explained the different methods of digital payment to be adopted for cashless transaction such as UPI App; BHIM, SBI pay, e-wallet etc. He also deliberated on the use of *99# service for digital transaction in rural areas where internet connectivity was poor. Kumar also demonstrated the method of using different application and informed the participants to be aware of security means. He asked them not to share pin or OTP to any one and not to give their account details to anyone saying the banks would never ask for those details. The programme was chaired by computer assistant, RD Block Phomching, K Mewang, welcome address was delivered by BDO Phomching, Phangphe T Wangsha and attended by two representatives from each VDB and RD Block staffs.
